No Good Kid
PROJECT
THE NOCOINER SYNDROME introduces and analyzes the nocoiner syndrome, a condition where individuals, especially those benefiting from the current financial system's Cantillon Effect, perceive early Bitcoin adopters as immoral.
This paper was written in reaction to the statements made by the European Central Bank about Bitcoin.
VISUAL STYLE
I had the idea of an academic study with a twist of punk aesthetics. I simulated a look of a document that came out of a damaged printer, so there is a dirt from the cartridges over the pages.
I also thought it would look cool, if there were handwritten notes on the sides of the documents, to give it a little human touch.
PROJECT
During the ongoing and successful mentoring events called Bitcoin Educators Academy, Dušan Matuška and his AmityAge team launched Top 10 Bitcoin F*ck Ups — a book that helps beginners avoid common mistakes when diving into the Bitcoin rabbit hole.
The book is available in both English and Slovak and combines educational content with reader-friendly, adventurous passages.
VISUAL STYLE OF THE BOOK
I approached the design not only from the perspective of a Bitcoin beginner, but also with the mindset of someone living in today’s short attention-span world, who may not be used to reading longer, often technical texts. To address this, I created an easy-to-read text layout, with various info boxes highlighting interesting ideas and tips, giving readers a visual break from continuous text.
The book was launched at BTC Prague 2025.
PROJECT
DARK FOREST is a collaboration project featuring Peter Horváth, bitpunk.fm and No Good Kid. The crew’s goal is to contribute to the lunarpunk culture in a creative and inspiring way.
The Dark Forest zine #00, released in October 2025 and printed on premium 180g paper, includes poems, essays, and photographs.
VISUAL STYLE
Cypherpunk can no longer remain a hidden, mysterious community. What once was a niche culture defined by technology and experimental art now inspires lunarpunk: a movement creating its own decentralized culture,
The Dark Forest collaboration project is expanding the language of freedom into forms more relatable to a wider audience.
Juraj Bednár, cypherpunk and author
“When I had an idea about the Nocoiner Syndrome, I had a dilemma. The text was sharp and provocative – too good for just another blog post.
I reached out to No Good Kid with this crazy brief and a one-week deadline.
"Sounds fun. Let's do it." was what I heard back.
My original idea was to make it look like a boring paper that could have been written by European Central Bank. He said that’s boring (true!) and created something that looked like an academic paper but had punk energy.
What impressed me was that he instantly understood the assignment. No endless revisions, no hand-holding. Just pure creative collaboration.
The design didn't just complement the text – it became part of the argument. People loved it not only for the content but because it looked like something the ECB might actually publish, if it was not a dinosaur public institution of course.
We had to do reprints because we ran out of physical copies at conferences.
No Good Kid gets that good design isn't decoration – it's part of the message. And somehow, he makes the whole process fun.”
Dušan Matuška, Bitcoin educator and founder of AmityAge
“Cooperating with No Good Kid was a very pleasant and insightful experience.
His skill in turning a brand manual into a tangible piece—like the book we created together—was exceptional.
Not only did he apply everything perfectly, but he also introduced creative elements to the book that enhanced the overall reading experience and even added moments of humor. It was design and copywriting at its finest.
Communication with No Good Kid was smooth and consistently precise. Deadlines and deliverables were clearly defined, and we always knew what to expect—often receiving even more than promised. I'm super excited to continue working together on future design and branding projects to bring beautiful design ideas to the Bitcoin world.”
About
Artist or designer?
If van Gogh created 10 brand identities, they would probably look very similar. An artist is usually someone with one specific style of work.
That’s not me.
I’m a design chameleon. I can connect with the project, find its unique voice, and put it into visuals.
Just design?
I have 15+ years of experience as a graphic and brand designer. I spent 10 years in marketing agencies, working with strategists, copywriters, idea makers, etc., and learned a bunch of tricks from them.
So besides graphics, I also usually come up with claims, campaign strategies, or new ways to put the project out there.
Anything else?
I play guitar and drums, and I started my first band at the age of 9 after I first heard KISS. I love Abba, George Strait, and La Coka Nostra. And a lot of stuff in between.
I’m too Christian for my punk friends and too punk for my Christian friends. I’ve learned to take it as an advantage.
